The arms and legs I use in my paintings were invented by Anne Zielinski-Old for the Fashion Model Barbie Collection. Their journey began when I was working with her at the Royal College of Art in 1991 to develop a "virtual catwalk". See Vogue Magazine. Using her illustrative style to shape a 3D virtual mannequin, the ideal shape and expression we came up with to present clothing, were these same limbs she had in 1997 put into a new material called Silkstone for 'Model Barbie'.
